Roma e Toska- wo soll ich da nur anfangen? Von Februar bis Juli habe ich ein Praktikum bei Roma e Toska gemacht und arbeite heute auch noch regelmäßig mit der Gründerin und Designerin des Labels, Gräfin Birgit Tyszkiewicz zusammen.
Es ist ein einzigartiges Label, mit einer besonderes Geschichte und tollen Menschen dahinter. Ich könnte also stundenlang schreiben und deswegen wird dieses auch nicht der einzige Post sein.
Namensgeber für das Label sind Birgits beide Töchter Roma (16) und Toska (13), die auch gleichzeitig die Gesichter der Kollektionen sind.
Roma e Toska ist wohl eines der exklusivsten Labels für Mädchenmode. Der Stil ist einzigartig und unverwechselbar. Von schick, bis cool, über stylisch, modern oder verspielt-je nachdem wie man es kombiniert. Dabei ist es aber vor allem immer: wandelbar und robust & easy to care. Und das ist es wegen seiner einzigartigen Wahl an Stoffen und Materialien, die von den besten Stoffdesigner stammen, zu deren Kundenstamm auch Marken wie Chanel oder Etro gehören. Aber nicht nur die Stoffe, sondern auch auf die Details wird besonderer Wert gelegt. Echte Büffelhornknöpfe und besonders schöne Bordüren und original Taschenuhren aus dem 18.Jahrhundert sorgen für ein perfektes Gesamtbild. Die Kleidung wird in Deutschland noch handgemacht.
Hinter jeder Kollektion steckt auch immer eine bestimmte Geschichte und ein bestimmtes Thema, welches als Inspiration dient. Im Herbst/ Winter 2010/2011 war es Jules Vernes Buch " in 80 Tagen um die Welt". Röcke, Blazer und Trenchcoats aus echtem Tweed symbolisieren den " britisch schick" der ganz am Anfang des Buches in London zu finden ist. Die silberfarbenen Gitterstoffe die als Grundstoff für Röcke dienten, sollen die Industrialisierung, die sich zu der Zeit abspielte widerspiegeln.

Roma e Toska- were should i start? After a long term internship from February to July i still occasionally work for the Founder and Designer of the brand Countess Birgit Tyszkiewicz. It´s an unique Label with an unique story and very special people behind it. I could go on writing like this for hours and this is definately not going to be my last post.

The fabric suppliers are the best and also sell their fabrics to big brand such as Chanel or Etro. But not only the fabrics are special, also details like real watches from 18. century or fancy bordures give the collection the final, perfect touch. All of the clothes are handcrafted in Germany.
Behind every collection there is a story or a theme. This Winter it was Jules Vernes " Around the wordl in 80 days". Vests, Blazers and Trenchcoats made of real tweed symbolize the " britisch chic" one can find at the beginning of the story in the old London.
